Some occasions need more than one apartment: the family reunion across three generations, the milestone birthday, the summer week with your whole circle of friends. The Duo Méditerranéen is our house in its entirety — upstairs the Penthouse with its three roof terraces and the pool above the rooftops, downstairs the Masterpiece in the former wine cellar with the L-shaped pool and the garden on the Canal de la Robine. Every group finds its spot: early risers on the morning-coffee terrace, kids by the pool, cooks at the four-metre counter — and in the evening, everyone together at the long table under the string lights.

Two apartments, one home

Upstairs — the Penthouse: 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open living space over two levels, fireplace, three roof terraces with a private pool. All the details on the Penthouse

Together: 7 bedrooms (6× king-size, 1× queen-size on the mezzanine, the Nest room with its XL single bed, plus the gallery), 4 bathrooms and more outdoor space than living space.

Who has already been here

The most common question before a group booking is not what the rooms look like — it is whether the whole thing works for this group. Four who have tried it:

• Santini, July 2024: the Italian maker of the yellow jersey and the other Tour de France classification jerseys was based here when the Tour started a stage in Gruissan — their base for the rest day, the stage start and a customer event. The story is in our cycling article.
• A company from Narbonne: the whole team, Monday to Friday — from right around the corner.
• Luxfit: high-end personal training from Luxembourg — and the owners are fans of this part of France.
• A wedding party: celebrated among family, with the house as both lodging and backdrop.

What those groups needed is quickly listed. A table everyone fits around: the two dining tables can be lined up end to end, giving you almost five metres of table. A connection that holds: Starlink delivers a steady 150 Mbit/s down, 45 up and 30 ms latency in the living rooms — several times what a video call needs; individual rooms have weaker coverage. Room for the kit: for bikes or equipment we can usually make extra space, just let us know beforehand. And an arrival without a hire car: Paris to here is four and a half hours without changing trains, and a taxi seating nine will collect you at the station — all the ways to get here.

Good to know

• Cleaning and linen fee: €550, payable on site on arrival
• Security deposit: €2,500 as a card pre-authorisation on arrival — nothing is charged unless there is damage
• Quiet residential area: Even with 15 guests — no parties, music outside low-key, indoors only after 10 pm. Family celebrations: very welcome. Party venue: we are not.
• Parking: A maximum of 5 vehicles on the property — please no more, so our neighbours' access stays clear
• Two homes, two sets of everything: Both apartments are fully independently equipped — please keep furniture, crockery and linen in their own home
• Extras: On request, our local conciergerie arranges extras for a fee — from a mid-stay clean to a private chef or an in-apartment massage. Just ask us.
